While ‘searching-4-dollars‘ amongst my many other daily tasks, I am a member of and therefor visit quite a few entrepreneur network sites. Alas, working from home or independently in a small office can cause a sense of disconnect to others in the same field or mindset. It is imperative for a balanced mind, career and home life to maintain peer-to-peer relationships right along with those of your customers/clients and right behind those of your family and friends!
As I was picking up a few tips regarding new online ways to generate income for the home based entrepreneur one of my ‘friends’ [it's amazing to me how most of the social sites utilize the word "friend" for the connections made between its members: while some connections may grow into meaningful and lasting friendships, for the most part I've found this classification to be comical at best. . .] from a more laid back business social network sent me message about the ‘latest and greatest’ ad revenue sharing social networking site. Being the curious one that I am, i clicked on the link provided and sauntered over for a look see.
Ok, so at first I didn’t click the link because I thought my ‘friend’ had written a typo! The name of the network is “6dgr” and that made no sense to me at all. After pondering over what he could have meant to write I went ahead and clicked the link. . . Now you have the gospel truth! 
The tagline for the site is, “Everyone’s Connected” although the site is new and has less than 2500 members. However, it’s revenue sharing claim is apparently based upon:
1. Opening a checking account with WaMu
2. Recruiting members
The marketing page boasts a possible monthly income of a little more than $3,400 for those that recruit 10 people which in turn recruit 10 in a single month. Naturally my ‘friend’ had attained that goal.
I joined the network and have actually managed to have one very dear friend [that I know personally] to join also.
The site’s layout is clean, upscale and moderately trendy with just enough technology to be current yet not over the top with ‘bells & whistles!’ The community seems to be focused on sharing ways to generate income online [a sure magnet for yours truly] AND are very active in posting comments to new members that are actually beneficial tidbits of entrepreneur information!
Being one more inclined towards the intellectual pursuits of reading, researching and writing, participating in these more ’social’ arenas is providing me another opportunity to challenge my notion of myself and where I ‘am’ at this stage in my life: embracing change, expanding my comfort zone and generating $$ in the process is a win-win for a granny like me!
